  • Brent Barry is a professional basketball player in the NBA with the Houston Rockets. On February 20, 2008 he was traded to the Seattle SuperSonics by the Spurs, then immediately released. He then re-signed with the Spurs on March 24, 2008.
  • NBA Career

    Barry was drafted by the Denver Nuggets in 1995 and traded to the Los Angeles Clippers. He won the 1996 NBA Slam Dunk Contest by taking off from the free throw line and throwing down a one handed dunk.

    After stops in Miami, Chicago, and Seattle, Barry signed with the Spurs in 2004. He would earn his first championship ring as a member of the Spurs team that defeated the Detroit Pistons in the 2005 NBA Finals. Barry and the Spurs would win another title in 2007 by sweeping the Cleveland Cavaliers.

    Barry is considered a good passer and an excellent three-point shooter. He has shot 40% for his career from long range. His shooting ability and tall frame allow him to play multiple positions on the court.
