Brendan Harris is an infielder for the Minnesota Twins. After graduating from the College of William and Mary, Harris was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 5th round of the 2001 amateur draft. He made his major league debut for the Cubs on July 6, 2004. Less than a month after his debut, the Cubs traded Harris to the Montreal Expos. In 2006, the Washington Nationals sent Harris, Daryl Thompson, Bill Bray, Royce Clayton, and Gary Majewski to the Cincinnati Reds in exchange for Austin Kearns, Felipe Lopez, and Ryan Wagner. On January 2, 2007 the Tampa Bay Rays acquired Harris for a player to be named later. Prior to the start of the 2008 season Harris was traded yet again, along with Delmon Young and Jason Pridle, in exchange for Matt Garza and Eduardo Morlan.
