Breath of Fire is a classic role-playing game for the SNES and is the first game in the Breath of Fire series.Players control Ryu, who leaves his village to stop the Dark Dragons and their plan to release the evil goddess Tyr.

Gameplay
The game is a turn-based RPG with random battles. Players can command only the leading character and can change the order of the group line at any time. Up to four characters can battle at a time and players are rewarded experience points and gold. There are mini-games such as fishing and hunting. The meat from the animals can restore HP and abilitiy points. There are also miniquests such such as locating the Kaiser Dragon trainer.GameSpot: Breath of Fire Players can level up their characters and some of them can change forms. Ryu can change into a dragon and Karn can change into a powerful mutant. Other characters can utilize powerful magic. -
