  • Former University of Maryland assistant professor Brandy Britton was also allegedly a prostitute. She was arrested and charged with prostitution in 2006, but committed suicide before being tried in a court of law. D.C. Madam Deborah Jeane Palfrey claimed she employed Britton within her prostitution racket.

    Palfrey was found dead in May 2008 of a suspected suicide.

    Britton's former husband Isamu Tubyangye was imprisoned and banned from the state of Maryland for his constant spousal abuse.

    Britton hung herself in her home that was involved in foreclosure. She was found by her daughter.
