2009 Season
Brandon Jones had been notably consistent and impressive throughout the training camp of 2009. Hopes were high and big things were expected from him for the upcoming season. That is, until two things happened. First, the team drafted the young phenom Receiver Michael Crabtree with the 10th overall selection in the draft. Second, Jones suffered a fracture in his right shoulder during 7-on-7 drills while attempting to make a diving catch all alone in the end zone. The injury would wind up sidelining him for 2 months, and would ultimately eliminate him from the gameplan for the remainder of the year. Jones would go on to play in 8 games, mostly on punt return duty, and would only make 1 catch for 18 yards all yearhttp://www.49ers.com/team/roster/Brandon-Jones/70016470-a811-4bd2-989c-02272967b261.
