  • 2008 Injury

    Jacobs injured his knee during a November 16, 2008, game against the Baltimore Ravens and sat out during the second half of the game. He missed the November 23, 2008, game against the Arizona Cardinals, but returned for the week 13 win over the Washington Redskins.   • Early Years

    Following his college football career at Southern Illinois University, Jacobs was drafted 110th overall in the 2005 NFL draft by the New York Giants. He made his NFL debut that same year, playing in all 16 games and recording seven touchdowns. His stats improved in 2006, totaling 423 yards and 16 touchdowns.
  • 2007 Season

    With the retirement of Tiki Barber in 2007, Brandon Jacobs was named the starting running back for the New York Giants. In his first full year as a starter, he rushed for 1,009 yards and four touchdowns. However, due to injury, he only participated in 11 of the 16 regular-season games.
