Brandon Craig was acquitted on April 1, 2009, for the murder of three Albuquerque, New Mexico teen boys who were shot to death in May 1999. Prosecutors argued that Craig had murdered the teens over an alleged drug debt. Some jurors expressed doubt about their decision though ultimately decided there was too much doubt for a conviction. Jurors expressed doubt in the testimony of three prosecution witnesses who claimed they had seen Craig commit the 1999 murders.
Witness Doubt
The jury forewoman, who remained unidentified, said that while the prosecution's witnesses "felt that (Craig) was the shooter, and he was there," their testimony did not convince the jury of Craig's involvement. The jurors also doubted prosecution from three witnesses who claim to have been with Craig on the night of the murders.KRQE.com: Jury acquits Craig of murder of 3 teens
