This page is a collection of reviews for the 2D side-scrolling platform game Braid. There are six different worlds in the game, each ruled by a different set of natural laws.
Braid was developed by the independent company Number None Inc., headed by Jonathan Blow. David Hellman, author of the web comic A Lesson Is Learned But The Damage Is Irreversible, collaborated on the project and contributed his artistic design to the game's environment and background.
Development on Braid began in 2006 and has been shown, in various stages of completion, at a number of independent game shows, conventions and competitions. Released on August 6, 2008, the game has already won a few awards, including the 2006 Independent Games Festival award for "Innovation in Game Design," as well as IGN's awards for "Best Xbox Live Arcade Game" and "Best Puzzle Game of E3 2008."Independent Games Festival: 2006 IGF Winners IGN: IGN's Overall Best of E3 2008 Awards
