Following the Cowboys December 28, 2008, loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, James was reportedly involved in a scuffle with a disgruntled fan. Football Career
Prior to playing in the NFL, James played college football with the LSU Tigers in the NCAA. He set several records, including a single-season school tackle record with 154 during his senior year. James was honored as an All-SEC selection and a National Scholar Athlete. James made his professional debut with the Cowboys in 2003, playing in 14 games and recording 12 tackles. He continued with the Cowboys in the years since, earning a starting position in 2005.
