Brad Whitford is the rhythm guitar player for the legendary Rock band, Aerosmith. He joined the band in 1971, and replaced Ray Tabano. Whitford left the band in 1981 to work on two side projects, Whitford/St Homes (with Derek St, Holmes) and The Joe Perry Project (with fellow Aerosmith member Joe Perry). He returned to the band in 1984, and continues to play with them up until this day.
Equipment
Whitford plays a variety of electric solidbody guitars, including a golden Gibson Les Paul and a golden Fender Stratocaster. He also likes Floyd Rose and Gretsch guitars. In the 1970s Whitford could be seen playing a BC Rich Eagle with a natural finish.
