Then, made it to the number one position on the U.S. Country charts. Welcome to the Future and the title track, American Saturday Night both made it to the number two spot on the charts. Brad Paisley released his first album, Who Needs Pictures in 1999. Paisley and his band, The Drama Kings, had their first performance together on May 7, 1999. There have not been many changes to the band over the years. Jimmy Heffernan left the band in 2001. In 2000, Randel Currie joined the band on steel guitar, and Jody Harris transitioned from the guitar tech to a band member in 2009.
