  • NHL Career

    Lukowich was drafted 90th overall in the 1994 NHL draft by the New York Islanders. He continued to play for his junior team, the Kamloops Blazers of the Western Hockey League, until June 1, 1996, when he was traded to the Dallas Stars. Lukowich made his NHL debut with the Stars in 1997 and split his first two seasons between the Stars and their International Hockey League affiliate, the Michigan K-Wings. He played with the Stars until June 22, 2002, when he was sent to the Tampa Bay Lightning. During the 2004-05 NHL lockout, Lukowich played in the Canadian Hockey League for the Fort Worth Brahmas. Following the lockout, he signed as a free agent with the New York Islanders on August 11, 2005. Lukowich played 57 games with the Islanders before he was traded to the New Jersey Devils on March 9, 2006. He completed the 2006-07 season in New Jersey, then signed as a free agent with the Tampa Bay Lightning on July 3, 2007.
