Brad Garrett is an American actor and comedian who has won three Emmy Awards for his role as Robert Barone in the sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond. He attended the University of California, Los Angeles, but dropped out after only two months to pursue a career in comedy.
On April 14, 2009, Garrett was videotaped taunting a paparazzo with ethnic slurs. Acting Career
Garrett began his career in comedy and performed in improv clubs in Los Angeles. He appeared on The Tonight Show at the age of 23. From there, he appeared as opening acts for celebrities including Liza Minnelli, Diana Ross, David Copperfield, and the Beach Boys. In 1988, Garrett played on the comedy First Impressions. In 1996, Garrett landed a role in the sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond as Robert Barone. He won three Emmy Awards for Best Supporting Actor for the show. In 2002, Garrett played in the movie Gleason. His more recent works include The Pacifier, Night at the Museum, Music and Lyrics and Christmas Is Here Again.
Personal Life
He was born on April 14 1960 in Woodland Hills, California. Garret has two brothers, Jeff and Paul Garrett. Garrett married Jill Diven on May 18, 1999. They had two children together, Maxwell Bradley and Hope Violet Garrett. The couple divorced in 2006.
