Brad Boyes is a professional hockey player originally from Canada. He currently plays for the St. Louis Blues in the National Hockey League.
Career Highlights
Prior to playing in the NHL, Boyes played for the Erie Otters in the Ontario Hockey League, starting in 1998. He was drafted 24th overall in the 2000 NHL Draft by the Toronto Maple Leafs. In 2002 he joined the American Hockey League, playing for the St. John's Maple Leafs. On March 5, 2003, Boyes, still in the minors, was traded to the San Jose Sharks. He continued to play in the AHL, moving to the Cleveland Barons. Also in 2003, Boyes made his NHL debut with the Sharks, playing a single game. On March 9, 2004, Boyes was part of a three team trade, sending him to the Boston Bruins. Following the NHL Lockout, Boyes earned a full roster spot with the Bruins, for the 2005-06 season. He was then traded to the St. Louis Blues on February 27, 2007. Most recently, on March 1, 2008, Boyes signed a contract extension with the Blues.
