  • Career Highlights

    Prior to joining the NHL, Gordon played in the Western Hockey League for the Red Deer Rebels, starting in 1999. He was then drafted 17th overall in the 2002 NHL Draft by the Washington Capitals. He made his NHL debut the next year, splitting the season between the NHL and the Capitals' American Hockey League affiliate, the Portland Pirates. Gordon played strictly in the AHL during the 2004-05 NHL Lockout. After the lockout he split the season between the Capitals and the Hershey Bears in the AHL. Gordon re-signed with the Capitals in 2006 at which time he earned a full roster spot on the team. He made his first Stanley Cup Playoffs appearance in 2008 as the Capitals fell to the Philadelphia Flyers in the first round.
