Boy George is a singer, songwriter and DJ who fronted the 1980s pop group Culture Club. His extravagant look and cross dressing helped make him a pop icon. After leaving the Culture Club, he went on to pursue a solo career.
On January 16, 2009, Boy George was sentenced to 15 months in jail for the April 2007 alleged incident where he falsely imprisoned a male escort. Boy George was charged with false imprisonment in November 2007 after a Norwegian man named Audun Carlsen accused the pop star of handcuffing him and chaining him to a hook in his bedroom while he was working as a male model in George's home in April 2007.
