A fourth film in The Bourne Film Series is planned with Matt Damon to once again star as the main role, Jason Bourne. Matt Damon is pending an official contract but is on board for the project.Variety: Universal Moves Ahead with Bourne (October 16, 2008)
The Bourne Background
Matt Damon plays the lead role as Jason Bourne, a special agent assassin trained for a secretive CIA task force. Bourne begins his journey as his body is pulled from a river. He is wounded and has a bank account number implanted in his hip. Bourne however has no memory of anything prior to being pulled from the water. He spend the next few years traveling the world trying to discover his true identity. He must move fast as the CIA is hunting for him because he left their top secret program. Bourne makes friends along the way, including a girlfriend Marie (Franka Potente), who what shot early in the second film and Nicky (Julia Stiles), a fellow CIA agent.
