Boulder is a city in the northern area of the state of Colorado and the county seat of Boulder County, Colorado. Situated along the front range of the Rocky Mountains, Boulder is known for its scenic landscape and natural beauty - as well as its close proximity to outdoor activities such as Hiking, Rock Climbing, Skiing and Snowboarding. Besides being the 11th most populous city in the state (with a population of just under 100 thousand residents) it is also the home to the state's largest University, the University of Colorado at Boulder. Boulder is located about 25 miles north of Denver, the state's capitol.
