Emmy-winning American legal dramedy Boston Legal was created by David E. Kelley. The show deals with the exploits of attorneys in a law firm, some of whom are extremely eccentric. It stars William Shatner, James Spader, and Candice Bergen.
The two-hour series finale airs on Monday, December 8, 2008. A spinoff of The Practice, Boston Legal is ending after five seasons. - William Shatner starred on the 1960s science fiction television series, Star Trek. Former Boston Legal cast mate, Rene Auberjonois, starred the 1990s Star Trek spinoff, Deep Space Nine. Boston Legal occasionally alludes its stars' science fiction pasts including when Denny Crane (William Shatner) once said, "I've piloted a starship!"
