Plot Synopsis
Born Standing Up is the memoir of comedian Steve Martin, whose first job was selling guidebooks at Disneyland at the time of the park's opening. At the age of 20, Martin was performing more than once a day and eventually found himself a writer on the The Smothers Brothers Show. He cites examples from both his professional and personal life to provide a general strategy for becoming a Comedian.
