The Zombie Island of Dr Ned is the first downloadable content for the game Borderlands, developed by Gearbox Software and published by 2K Games.

This is the video and text walkthrough for the Hitching a Ride mission. The player will have to escape a deserted city and hop in a ship before getting overwhelmed by zombies.

Go back to the island and meet the Jakobs representatives.

1. Exit the comm array tower in Dead Haven and head south. Kill the Lance zombies waiting for you outside.
   
2. After the checkpoint, you will find an old factory. Turn left and take the bridge that will lead you to a switch. Push the switch to send a signal.
3. Jakobs is sending you a ship but it will take time to get to you. Until the ship arrives, you have to survive several waves of zombies. It will take about 2-3 minutes. I suggest you go on the top floor of the building and stay along the left or right wall. The way to get there is too narow for the zombies so they won't come to you. But they can shoot you from below so take a strong gun and your grenades and clean the area. The toughest zombies are Lance zombies. Always aim for the head and use medipack to heal yourself.
4. After the ship landed, use the platform to get inside and activate the switch.
5. You are now back in Jakobs Cove. Talk to the Clap Trap to complete the mission.
