Booker Huffman, known by his ring name Booker T, is a professional wrestler with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. The bulk of his career has been spent with World Championship Wrestling and World Wrestling Entertainment.
Career Notes
Booker and his brother Lane (aka Stevie Ray) signed with WCW in 1993, debuting as the tag team Harlem Heat. The two teamed together for several years, winning the WCW Tag Team Titles. In 1997, Booker broke into singles action, winning the WCW World Television Championship. Booker reached main event status in 2000 when he won the World Title from Jeff Jarrett at Bash at the Beach. This made Booker the second ever African American champion in WCW. He would win a total of twenty-three titles in WCW.
After WCW was Acquired by WWE in 2001, Booker T signed with WWE and debuted at King of the Ring in by attacking Stone Cold Steve Austin. This led to the Invasion angle with Booker siding with WCW. Booker would feud with just about every major WWE star. He would also form a tag team with Goldust, which became a source of comedy. After winning the King of the Ring tournament in 2006, Booker T became known as "King Booker."
Booker and his wife Sharmell were released by WWE in 2007 and signed with TNA the a month later.
