Bonnie Raitt is a Grammy Award-winning Blues guitarist and Singer-Songwriter. She has become famous for her soulful sound and blistering slide guitar playing and continues to be one of the most influential female guitar players in music.
As the daughter of Broadway star John Raitt, Bonnie began playing guitar at an early age and eventually started playing in clubs with legendary Blues musicians, such as Howlin' Wolf and John Lee Hooker. After a number of modestly successful albums during the 1970s and early 80s, Raitt had a career resurgence with the 1989 album Nick of Time, which won her three Grammy Awards and made it to #1 on the charts. Raitt continues to write and record music, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000.
