Bon Jovi is a rock band from Sayreville, New Jersey, led by lead singer and occasional actor, Jon Bon Jovi. Bon Jovi formed in 1983, with band members Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora, David Bryan, Alec John Such and Tico Torres. Such left the band in 1994, but the remainder of the band has remained the same for 25 years.
Bon Jovi performed at the 2010 American Music Awards on Sunday, November 21, 2010. Bon Jovi was also inducted into the UK Hall of Fame in 2006. However, they were not eligible for the U.S. equivalent for 2009.

During the sixth season of American Idol, Jon Bon Jovi appeared on the show as a guest mentor. One of the highlights of the night was Blake Lewis's rendition of "You Give Love a Bad Name."
