Bollywood is the term often used to refer to Indian Hindi-language cinema. Traditionally based out of Mumbai (formally Bombay, hence the "Bo" of "Bollywood"), Bollywood was primarily inspired by early Hollywood musicals and Indian epic films. Bollywood cinema often contains song and dance sequences with the music recorded by professional musical artists and dubbed over the actror's performance while they lip-sync the lyrics.
