Early Life
Bobby Simmons was born in Chicago, Illinois, on June 2, 1980. He attended high school at Simeon in Illinois. He continued his education at DePaul University. In 2001, Simmons was selected by the Seattle SuperSonics with the forty-first pick in the NBA Draft.Simmons was then traded to the Washington Wizards. In his first season with the Wizards, Simmons avearged 3.7 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 11.4 minutes in 30 games. Simmons signed as a free agent with the Los Angeles Clippers in 2003. After the 2004-2005 campaign, Simmons was named the NBA most improved player.
