Prior to his entry into the National Hockey League, Bobby Ryan played from 2003-2006 for the Owen Sound Attack of the Ontario Hockey League. Due to his father's flight from justice from aggravated assault charges, the family changed their name, and young Robert became Bobby Ryan.
