Baseball Career
The Anaheim Angels selected Jenks out of high school, in the fifth round of the 2000 amateur draft. Jenks pitched several seasons with the Angels minor league affiliates, but never pitched for them in the majors.
In 2004, the White Sox selected Jenks off waivers. Jenks went on to become a major contributor to the White Sox 2005 World Series team, as the teams primary closer he recorded saves in games one and four. Following his World Series] heroics, Jenks was named to two consecutive All-Star teams.
