Biography
After quitting school, Darin began writing songs for Connie Francis. While the two started a romantic relationship, her father threatened Darin to never see his daughter again. (She still calls this the biggest mistake of her life, and says she should have married him.)
Darin began singing in local nightclubs, and after being signed to Decca Records he left to sign with Atlantic Records where he continued his string of unsuccessful singles. His career skyrocketed on his fourth try with "Splish Splash" in 1958, selling more than one million singles and changing the history of rock n roll forever.
