  • The verdict in the trial of Bobby Cutts, Jr. for the murder of Jessie Davis was announced on February 15, 2008. Cutts faced three counts of aggravated murder (one for Jessie Davis, and two dealing with her unborn fetus). He was found guilty of aggravated murder of Davis' fetus, and convinced of a lesser murder charge for Davis herself, as well as charges of "gross abuse of a corpse." On February 2, 2008 the jury recommended that Cutts be sentenced to life in imprisonment without the possibility of parole. Bobby Cutts, Jr. was sentenced on February 27, 2008, to life in prison without parole for 57 years.
