Brown and Houston married in July of 1992. Houston gave birth to the couple's daughter, Bobbi Kristina Houston-Brown, on March 4, 1993. Brown was said to have had legal problems over drugs and alcohol during the couple's marriage. Houston filed for a divorce in October of 2006. The divorce was finalized in April of 2007. Whitney was granted custody of their daughter.
