  • Playing Career

    Murray began his career in 1971 with the Cornwall Royals in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, where he was named rookie of the year in 1972. In 1974, he was selected 52nd overall in the NHL draft by the Chicago Blackhawks. Murray joined the Blackhawks that season for his NHL debut. He played in Chicago for 15 seasons, appearing in two NHL All-Star Games, but never reached the Stanley Cup finals. He retired from the NHL in 1990.Legends of Hockey: Bob Murray
  • Front Office Career

    Following his retirement, Murray was named the director of player personnel for the Blackhawks in 1991. He then served as the team's assistant general manager from 1995 to 1997 and general manager from 1997 to 1999.
