Academy Award-winning director Martin Scorsese is reportedly planning to film a documentary about the life of legendary reggae singer-songwriter Bob Marley. The film is a co-production between Tuff Gong, the record company founded by Marley and his group The Wailers, and Shangri La Productions. The film will be Scorsese's first documentary of a musical artist outside the rock spectrum—he has previously filmed critically-acclaimed documentaries on The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan and The Band.
