Bob Lobel is an award-winning sportscaster from Boston, MA who covered sports for WBZ-TV from 1979 to April 2008. Along with heading up the sports segment each night, Lobel was also the host of a number of different sports programs on the network, including Sports Final and Patriots 5th Quarter. In 2008, layoffs at the station forced them to buy out the remainder of his contract, as well as those of entertainment reporter Joyce Kulhawik and news anchor Scott Wahle.
