Bob Huggins is the head coach of the men's basketball team at West Virginia University, his alma mater. He was previously the head coach at the University of Cincinnati and Kansas State University. In his most recent season with the Mountaineers, Huggins led the team to a Big East Conference Tournament Championship and a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament. The team, which was ranked as one of the top 10 teams in the country the entire season, advanced to the Sweet 16 by defeating the Morgan State Golden Bears and the Missouri Tigers. West Virginia defeated the Washington Huskies 69-56 and then beat the Kentucky Wildcats 73-66 in the East Regional Final. During his tenure with Cincinnati, the Bearcats were consistently ranked in the nation's top 25, even reaching #1 on multiple occasions. Huggins led the Cincinnati Bearcats to be one of the best programs in the country during his tenure at the school, compiling a 399-127 record (.759) as head coach. He became the school's winningest coach of all time in both number of victories and victory percentage.
