  • Deputy Governor A?

Greenlee may be the person identified as "Deputy Governor A" in the complaint against Blagojevich filed by federal prosecutors. The document transcribes several hours of telephone conversations between Blagojevich and Deputy Governor A, during which the two discuss manipulating situations to Blagojevich's benefit. The conversations between Blagojevich and a male deputy governor were recorded in November of 2008, at which time Greenlee was the only male deputy governor working in Blagojevich's office. However, at the time of his resignation, it was not apparent whether Greenlee was, in fact, Deputy Governor A or whether his resignation had anything to do with the corruption scandal.ABC News: Blago Deputy Resigns Amid Arrests (December 10, 2008)
