Bob Duff, father to Hilary and Haylie Duff, was sentenced to 10 days and jail for contempt of court charges. The charges stem from Bob's estranged wife, Susan Duff, suing him for repayment of half of the cost of Hilary's 21st birthday party. The party cost $25,000 and Susan wanted Bob to pay half. During the court proceedings it was discovered Bob sold $367,537 worth of stock without permission from the court, causing the judge to order his jail time.
