  • Bo Pelini is the head coach for the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers football team. Before attaining the head coaching job with the Cornhuskers, Pelini was the defensive coordinator for the LSU Tigers.

  • Brief Biography

    Bo Pelini started his coaching career at the University of Iowa as a graduate assistant from 1991 to 1992. He took his first position in the National Football League with the San Francisco 49ers and contributed to the team's 1994 Super Bowl victory. In 2003, Pelini was hired as the defensive coordinator for the Cornhuskers, and later became the team's head coach, the position he holds currently.*Huskers.com: Bo Pelini

    In 2008, Pelini garnered attention for his angry tirades against referees, players and assistant coaches. Pelini acknowledged that his temper could shed a negative light on the university and its football program. Pelini was caught on video numerous times yelling and bickering in a loss to Virginia Tech. A video montage of Pelini's outbursts was posted on YouTube.
