Grammy-winning rock and blues guitarist and songwriter Bo Diddley died on June 2, 2008, from heart failure.
The 79-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee passed away in his Archer, Florida home after being ill for several months.

Prior Illness
In May 2007, Diddley suffered a stroke that left his health significantly impaired. Three months later, he suffered a heart attack. Diddley had been receiving treatment for his illnesses in the months leading up to his death.Diddley was previously diagnosed with diabetes and hypertension.
