The BMW Z4 is a two-seat luxury sports car. It is the only two seater sports car BMW has. Two different trim levels are offered with this vehicle: sDrive30i and turbocharged sDrive35i. The Z4 Coupe 3.0si hardtop model is no longer offered as the roadster models are now sporting a convertible hardtop.http://usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/cars-trucks/BMW_Z4/<ref> <ref>http://www.edmunds.com/bmw/z4/review.html
With the blending of the two styles, this model marks the first hardtop BMW roadster. The retractable hardtop is made of two aluminum shells, which can fold into the vehicle in just 20 seconds. When the top is extended, the roadster takes on the feel of a coupe.http://www.bmw.com/com/en/newvehicles/z4/z4/2009/allfacts/design/hardtop.html
The 2010 model year was named a finalist for MotorTrend's "Car of the Year".http://usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/cars-trucks/BMW_Z4/
BMW Z4 Model Changes
2003 marked the first generation of the BMW Z4. There were two models available: the roadster 2.5i or 3.0i. The 2.5 had the smaller engine and 5-speed manual transmission, while the 3.0 was slightly more powerful and had a 6-speed manual transmission standard. The soft top was manual with an optional power top.http://www.edmunds.com/bmw/z4/review.html
2006 was the next upgrade and this is when the coupe was introduced alongside the roadster. The engines were upgraded slightly and a six-speed manual transmission became standard on all models, with an optional automatic. The styling and ride quality were also improved.http://www.edmunds.com/bmw/z4/review.html
BMW Z4 Reviews
- "The car doesn't take the bumps well at all, but it's an otherwise superbly styled, great little six-cylinder zipster that will enhance your summer as much as the smell of burning charcoal or freshly mowed grass."-New York Daily Newshttp://www.nydailynews.com/autos/2008/06/30/2008-06-30_even_rain_cant_spoil_spin_in_bmws_z4_roa.html
- "The svelte BMW Z4 Coupe has scant practicality and love-it-or-hate-it looks, but all that really matters is that it's a blast to drive."-Forbes Autoshttp://www.forbesautos.com/reviews/2008/bmw/z4_coupe/review.html

BMW Z4 Review - Kelley Blue Book
In this 2008 video, Kelly Blue Book gives an in-depth review of the Z4. The reviewer indicates that this might be the consumer's car of choice if a two-seater sports car is wanted but more power or interior space is needed than the rival vehicles. The performance is said to be hard to criticize and the sport package gives extra control. The reviewer likes the handling dynamics between car and driver, as well as the look of the vehicle. The comments the reviewer makes about the convertible top are no longer an issue with the 2010 model.
