Background
They became extremely popular in the United Kingdom with their first releases, but it took until their self-titled 1997 album (which was their fifth record) before they saw success in America (that success would come in the form of "Song 2"). Guitarist Graham Coxon left the band while recording their seventh album Think Tank in 2002 and after the subsequent tour, Blur went on hiatus. Afterward, frontman Damon Albarn has been busy with various side projects including the internationally successful cartoon band Gorillaz and The Good, the Bad and the Queen.
