Blur Reunion

  • The English pop band Blur has announced they will be reuniting for a tour and possible album in 2009. The first concert concert, which will take place at London's Hyde Park on Friday July 3, 2009, marks the first public performance of all four original band members since 2000. The band is also rumored to be headliners at the 2009 Glastonbury Festival. Several concerts in July have already been confirmed.BBC: Blur set for Glasto, says Eavis (February 26, 2009)

    Blur formed in 1989. They were one of the most successful bands in England during the Brit-pop-era of the 1990's. Five or their seven albums reached #1 in the UK charts. In 1997, the band released their self-titled fifth album which contained their American breakthrough, "Song 2." In 2002, guitarist Graham Coxon left the band.
