The Lacy is a breed of working dog developed in Texas. Active, agile and extremely intelligent, they can hunt, herd, tree and track. Though they make good companions, this breed needs a lot of mental and physical exercise to be happy. Sometimes referred to as Blue Lacys, they can also be red or tri-colored. In 2005, they were named the State Dog of Texas.
