Blue Beetle is an American comic book series currently published by DC Comics.

Blue Beetle chronicles the adventures of the Blue Beetle superhero. Originally published by Fox Comics, the first Blue Beetle was Dan Garrett, a policeman who had to take a vitamin to gain his powers.Comics 101: Beetlemania (August 15, 2005)
After an inconsistent publication run with the title, Fox sold the character rights to Charlton Comics in the 1950s.Comic Book DB: Blue Beetle (1955) Their version of the Beetle depicted Garrett as an archaeologist who gained his powers by an ancient scarab.
