• Blitz The League is an installment from Midway's Blitz football video game series. It's an arcade-style football game where the dark underbelly of the football lifestyle come out.   • Gameplay

    This is a very fast-paced football game where the rules are bent in some places and broken in others. There is a 30-yard down instead of the standard ten, the teams are eight-on-eight, and the kinds of hits that players put on each other would normally land them in jail. When players get injured, the person playing has the option of "juicing" players up, so they can return to the game faster, but they risk more severe injuries. There is also a special "clash" mode that can be used during play.   • Blitz Overtime on PSP

    A virtually identical version of Blitz The League can be found on the PSP under the title Blitz Overtime. It's practically the same game, but transferring it to the PSP caused slower load times and a little less detail in the graphics.GameSpot: Blitz Overtime for PSP Review (6.1) (December 20, 2006) Blitz Overtime also has some helmet logos, team coordinators, cities and All-Division teams that aren't on the other versions.
