Blind Melon

  • Blind Melon is an alternative rock band that formed in California. After signing to Capitol Records in 1991, they released their self-titled debut. Among the eclectic group of songs, "No Rain" was chosen as a single and became a huge hit, propelling the album to multi-platinum sales. The wave of success the band was riding would be short lived, however. After recording their follow up record, Soup, lead singer Shannon Hoon died of a drug overdose while on tour.

Blind Melon would disband after Hoon's death, but in 2006 the remaining members decided to reunite. Singer Travis Warren was recruited to be the new vocalist.
