Blake Lewis is an American singer, songwriter, musician and beatboxer. He was the runner-up on season six of American Idol, where he was beaten out by Jordin Sparks. As the most hip-hop-influenced of the Season Six contestants, the 25-year-old from Bothell, Washington, used beatboxing as his secret weapon. He began using the technique of beat-boxing when he was 17. He joined the a cappella group Kickshaw after he graduated high school in 1998. He quit the group in 2002, to pursue a solo career.

Lewis had several memorable performances while on Idol with songs like "Somewhere Only We Know" by Keane, "You Keep Me Hanging On" by The Supremes, "Imagine" by John Lennon, "You Give Love a Bad Name" by Bon Jovi and "How Deep is Your Love" by the Bee Gees, during the Hollywood round.
