• Life and Career

  • Blair Underwood was born in Tacoma, Washington. His mother was an interior decorator and his father was a U.S. Army colonel.

  • He attended the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama to study acting and began his career after graduation with an appearance on The Cosby Show followed by a recurring role on One life to Live. He then starred in the TV series L.A. Law.

  • He soon made his way onto the big screen, featuring in such films as Deep Impact and Gattaca.
