  • Career Highlights

    Betts began his career playing for the Prince George Cougars of the Western Hockey League in 1996. He was then drafted 33rd overall in the 1998 NHL Draft by the Calgary Flames. Betts continued with the Cougars until 2000 when he joined the Flames' American Hockey League affiliate, the Saint John Flames. Betts made his NHL debut with the Calgary Flames the following season, playing six NHL games that year. He stayed with the Flames until the 2004-05 NHL Lockout, then was traded to the New York Rangers. After spending the lockout year back in the AHL, Betts joined the full roster of the Rangers. He played in 66 games with the Rangers in the 2005-06 regular season, scoring eight goals and two assists. He has since continued with the Rangers, assisting with special teams play, especially penalty killing and winning face-offs.
