The Blackberry Tour is a smartphone manufactured by the cellular phone company Research in Motion (RIM). The Tour was introduced in the summer of 2009 and included the Blackberry OS 5. This operating system included several key elements of Blackberry software including Blackberry Messenger, Maps and other programs. This open platform allows improvements to be made and released to all users who simply need to download the latest OS version and can then take advantage of the updates provided by RIM. It also provides Blackberry experts the ability to create "hybrid" OS versions that may compile the best elements from each OS update into one collaborative software.
Since the Tour was released, there have been several OS updates. The latest update is 5.0.0.732.http://forums.crackberry.com/f141/latest-os-official-5-0-0-732-9650-tour-483068/ Updates can be downloaded either OTA (over the air) or from the Verizon website.http://support.vzw.com/pdf/system_update/tour.pdf Leaked OS updates are those that have not yet been officially released by the carrier. Leaked OS updates are not available for OTA download until they are official from the cellular network.

BlackBerry Tour (Verizon) - Full Review
The Blackberry Tour is reviewed and each feature explained in this introductory video. The specific model used in the video is from Verizon, though the Tour can be purchased through and used with a variety of different carriers including Sprint. At the time of this review, the video host states that this was the best BlackBerry experience he's had so far. However, he also quickly notes that the Tour doesn't come with wifi, which may have been an oversight considering how many competing phones have it included. There are even other BlackBerry models including the BlackBerry Bold and BlackBerry Curve that come with wifi.
